Tarragindi is an extremely popular family suburb and this is reflected by the home ownership being almost 80% of all dwellings. For this reason and its convenience and quiet position, Tarragindi is an extremely popular place for tenants. With limited properties available to rent and a lot of people wanting to live there, rental properties are snapped up quite quickly. We have had houses with more than 40 groups and 6 applications on the first open home.

One other thing that makes Tarragindi popular is the fact that there are no units, purely houses.

While Tarragindi doesn’t have the train, it is only 5-6km from the CBD so driving and bus services are very quick and convenient.

Despite being quite a large suburb, Tarragindi doesn’t have many shops. There is a small centre on the corner of Denham & Toohey Rd which has a café, medical centre, convenience store and a few other shops but other than that, you have to go to Annerley or Holland Park to get your retail therapy. This is part of the charm of the suburb.

Tarragindi does have a few restaurants and cafes. Small little cafes are popping up like Esher St Café but there are also pockets like the little restaurant and dining shops on the corner of Toohey and Monash Rds.

Wellers Hill State School is a highly coveted school by local residents so some premiums are paid to be within this primary school catchment zone. For high school, the catchment is Holland Park State School.
