Affectionately known as “The Ville”, St Lucia Village on Hawken Drive has about 10 restaurants, 3-4 cafes and a Super IGA. This is the major centre however plenty of shopping is available on campus of UQ as well as convenience stores down near Sir Fred Schonnell drive.


As mentioned above, “The Ville” is the main hub of restaurants and cafes however there is excellent dining for breakfast, lunch or dinner at the Hundred Acre Bar and Restaurant at St Lucia Golf Course which has a spectacular outlook at local wildlife and the golf course.

School Catchment Zones

Ironside State Primary School which is constantly in the top 3 of Queensland State Schools is the drawcard for families at St Lucia. High schools tend to involve private schools closer to the CBD or Indooroopilly State High School.


St Lucia Golf Course provides a great opportunity for one partner to play a round of golf while the other enjoys a good feed or a cold drink at the Hundred Acre Bar. There are also bike and running tracks running approximately 10km along the riverfront, plenty of dining options or a nice ferry trip to South Bank or the city. St Lucia provides plenty of opportunities for weekend recreation.
