New Farm State Primary school and Kelvin Grove State High School are the school catchment zones for Newstead residents. Kelvin Grove State High ranks in the top 5 Queensland Government Schools so is an appealing aspect of owning or renting property in Newstead.
Newstead is so easily connected to everything that you are never at a loss for something to do. You have plenty of choice with a picnic by the river, sampling the many restaurants, bars and cafes or a visit to the very well known Breakfast Creek Hotel. The other alternative is to catch the ferry to Portside at Hamilton for the eat street markets, head across the river to Bulimba or go to New Farm.
