Kenmore has two shopping centres with Woolworths, Coles, Aldi and numerous smaller shops and cafes. The major western suburbs shopping centre, Indooroopilly Shopping Centre, is located only a 5 minute drive down the road.

Restaurants/Cafe

Kenmore has a plethora of cafes and restaurants which is very appealing to the younger generation. There is the funky restaurant precinct on Wongabel St which includes Sichuan Bang Bang, a small precinct near Kenmore Rd and cafes here there and everywhere. There is “The Kenmore” which has been renovated with multiple bards and a “secret” underground bar called the Retro Bar.

School Catchment Zones

Kenmore State School is a highly ranked Government State School and Kenmore State High has a very good reputation in the western suburbs. There is also “Our Lady of the Rosary” school in Kenmore.

Recreation

Kenmore residents have plenty of things to provide entertainment for weekends. There is more than ample parkland, space for riverfront picnics, Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in the neighbouring suburb of Fig Tree Pocket and plenty of bike paths for weekend rides.
