Kelvin Grove has a large mixture of tenants. Being home to QUT (Queensland University of Technology) Kelvin Grove Campus, there is a large number of university students and share houses. It is however also very popular with families due to the proximity to the CBD and the Kelvin Grove State High School. There is something for everyone with high rise units around the uni and beautiful character style homes but over and above that, transport and entertainment is aplenty making it one of the most popular hubs in the inner northern ring of Brisbane.
Kelvin Grove is connected via bus to the city and surrounding suburbs and there are plenty of bike paths making it an easy commute.
“The Village” as it is known is on Musk Avenue. This is the major shopping and entertainment hub of Kelvin Grove. There are supermarkets, restaurants, cafes and almost everything you could need all in close proximity.
Similar to the local shops, the restaurant and café precinct is on Musk Avenue close to the University accommodation. There are a few other dining options along Waterworks Rd however for quality dining, nearby Paddington is the place to go.

A morning round of golf and then a great meal at the Victoria Park Golf Course is a regular for many Kelvin Grove residents. There are also the movies at Newmarket, the La Boite theatre in Kelvin Grove that has regular shows or a visit to Ballymore. Kelvin Grove is quite hilly so it’s a great place for people to keep fit going for a run.
