Bardon is a family oriented suburb with larger home sites, plenty of greenspace and with the continued gentrification, is becoming a popular place for owning an investment property. Bardon is accessed via bus and road only, the nearest train station is in Milton about a 10 minute drive away. Bardon has good road access to the city (15-20 minutes in peak hour) and surrounding suburbs.
There is no shopping centre within Bardon however neighbouring Ashgrove and Paddington have supermarkets and small shopping centres. Bardon does however have a number of small restaurant and café precincts.
The newly added “The Barn” in Bardon is becoming a very popular location for fresh produce and healthy eating. Close proximity to here is a French bakery, a number of eclectic cafes and at the top of Governers Hill is the Brazilian BBQ restaurant Mundo and a number of other small restaurants. School Catchment Zones
Bardon is home to the very popular Rainworth State School which ranks very highly in the Queensland State Government Primary Schools. It is also home to Stuartholme which is a private girls school and falls within the State high school catchment of Kelvin Grove which is a highly ranked school.
Bardon backs onto Mt Coot-tha which has plenty of tracks for walking, mountain biking and areas for picnics. There is plenty of parkland, you can head down to the Broncos Leagues Club to watch the Brisbane Broncos train or just have a coffee in a quiet café. Bardon is inner city living with a peaceful and relaxed mentality which is becoming something more and more people are desiring.
