Toowong is so easily connected to the CBD and with riverfront running tracks, very close proximity to the University of Queensland and less than 15 minutes drive in peak hour to the CBD, it is no wonder it is popular with tenants. Toowong is only 3 stations from the CBD via train, is only 2 stops away by City Cat (River ferry), has regular bus services and has a major bike and running path to connect into the CBD. There are very few suburbs more connected to the Brisbane CBD than Toowong.
Toowong Village is the large blue tower located right in the centre of the suburb. There are a number of small convenience centres in addition to this however this is the major hub for dining out, entertainment and shopping for Toowong.
Within Toowong Village there are plenty of restaurants however there area number of small centres including Dean Street, The Corner Store Café on Sylvan Rd for an excellent brunch or high end restaurants like the Boat House. School Catchment Zones
Toowong is home to Brisbane Boys College which is a highly regarded private boys school. Some areas are also within the Indooroopilly State School catchment zone for primary and high school.
Toowong provides options of riverfront dining and weekend beers at the Regatta, a run/stroll or ride along the Brisbane Riverfront bike bath, Golf at nearby St Lucia Golf Course or bushwalking or mountain biking at Mt Coot-tha. Mt Coot-tha is Brisbane’s peak tourist attraction for those looking to see Brisbane CBD and all the surrounding suburbs as far as Moreton Bay during the day or night from an elevated position and while up there, you can have a meal or an ice-cream. It will also soon be home to a new zip-line running approximately 2km through the State Forest.
